Pewsey Vale School is a small rural 11-16 mixed comprehensive with over 350 students on the role and a catchment area of over 120 square miles. The Governing Body fulfils a strategic role in the running of the school. It monitors and evaluates progress of its strategy and regularly reviews the framework for the school in the light of that progress. Governors are not expected to be involved in the detail of the day-to-day management of the school. The maximum term of office for governors is four years.
