Travel
Travel passes for buses/coaches are provided by Wiltshire County Council for most students who live more than 3 miles from the school. Students who live more than 3 miles from the school and for whom a bus/coach is not available, are issued with bus passes for public services. Students who live less than three miles away are expected to make their own way to school.

Pewsey Vale School does not organise the transportation of students so if parents/carers have any queries regarding travel passes, bus timetables or eligibility, please contact Wiltshire County Council direct on 01225 713000 and ask for student transport. If a student looses their bus pass, we can issue a temporary bus pass at a cost of £5.00. If he/she has a damaged bus pass, we can issue a temporary pass for free if the student brings the damaged pass to the school office. Students cannot travel on any bus without their bus pass.

All students traveling by coach/bus must report to the hall at the end of school where staff supervise them until their bus arrives. If a student misses a bus it is essential that he or she report to the school office in order to inform parents/carers and arrange alternative transport.

Bicycles
Students may cycle to school and bicycle sheds are provided. If a student is unable to show that he or she can cycle safely, permission will be withdrawn. Children must wear a cycle helmet if they wish to cycle to school. Students should lock bicycles in the cycle shed. Unless returning home for lunch, students must not access bicycles for any reason during the school day, including lunch and morning break. The school cannot be responsible for the security of cycles.
