The Course
Students begin their Key Stage 4 studies in Year 9 to allow sufficient time to complete the 2 GCSE. Over the 3 years, students will study units that form part of the OCR Nationals suite of qualifications. They will study 2 compulsory units:

Unit 1 - 'ICT skills for business'
Unit 5 - Desktop Publishing

They will also choose two units to study from the following options:

Unit 20: Creating animation for the WWW using ICT
Unit 22: Creating sound using ICT
Unit 23: Creating video

These units will combine to earn the OCR Level 2 National Award in ICT, equivalent to 2 full GCSE (A*-C). There is no exam in this qualification with all of the assessment based on coursework.
