During Key Stage 4, students will receive careers information and guidance in collaboration with our partners in Lifetime Careers, Wiltshire. They will have the opportunity of visiting post-16 institutions and attending a careers convention to find out about post-16 opportunities. In addition all the post-16 institutions within a twenty-mile radius visit Pewsey Vale School in November of Year 11 to speak about courses offered and give students and their parents/carers the opportunity to speak to tutors and students about their respective institution and courses including required qualifications.
During Year 11, students will need to make an application to the College/6th form of their choice depending on the course they wish to follow post-16. Guidance and advice is given on interview techniques with the assistance of the local Rotary Club who carry out mock interviews in January/February of Year 11. Students will be expected to make use of the new Learning Resource Zone to research further information.
