Welcome to Pewsey Vale School. Our small rural 11-16 mixed comprehensive became an Academy Trust on 1st July 2011. The changes that this brings about for the Governing Body are only minor and whilst we may have different categories of Governor their responsibilities remains the same. The Governing Body fulfils a strategic role in the running of the school and monitors and evaluates all aspects of the work of the schools though as an Academy it brings with it the twin responsibility of operating as a charitable trust and accounting for its activities in a more business like manner. Our business remains the education of the pupils who choose Pewsey Vale as their provider of secondary education.
Our excellent Ofsted inspection, the continued rise in our pupils academic performance and the high level of added value that the school provides makes Pewsey Vale the first choice for many parents. If you are interested in serving on the Governing Body contact the Clerk in the first instance.
